“The decision to suspend Nationwide Permit 21 for coal mining in Appalachia despite the public outcry is another attack on rural America. Once again, I am baffled that this Administration would threaten jobs in our Kentucky coal communities, especially at a time of double digit unemployment. The suspension will jeopardize the livelihoods of Kentucky coal miners, their families, and those whose jobs depend on coal production, and hamper job growth in the region.”

If anything, Mitch McConnell is too weak in his response to the White House administrations latest attack on the coal mining industry. Can the public be so blind as to not see what is happening? First, the Obama takeover of the auto industry, then healthcare, the banking industry and now the dismantling and destruction of the coal industry (cap and trade). We are on the road to a socialist, marxist country. As Senate minority leader, Mitch McConnell needs to start backing Senatorial candidate Rand Paul, leave the Republican establishment and start representing the people. We are now at the crossroads of a dangerous time in history. Either we defend the constitution with all our might or be crushed by the weight of communism.
