If anything, Mitch McConnell is too weak in his response to the White House administrations latest attack on the coal mining industry. Can the public be so blind as to not see what is happening? First, the Obama takeover of the auto industry, then healthcare, the banking industry and now the dismantling and destruction of the coal industry (cap and trade). We are on the road to a socialist, marxist country. As Senate minority leader, Mitch McConnell needs to start backing Senatorial candidate Rand Paul, leave the Republican establishment and start representing the people. We are now at the crossroads of a dangerous time in history. Either we defend the constitution with all our might or be crushed by the weight of communism.

Mitch McConnell is always ready to cry foul when the cameras are on and there's a headline to be made. How many miners would still have the limbs they've lost and the families they've left behind if the safety laws and regulations his wife took away in her totally featherbeded government job were still in place. Take a hike, Mitch!

This might be just scratching the Montaintop Mining surface, but I smell a rat between the EPA, CDR Financial Products, Inc and possibly CDR minerals. This story broke two days ago http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601109&sid=axH24KWxjVDE&pos=10
I am currently connecting the dots and my investigation will continue, but I believe that there are some dark, sinister forces at work. I will, however, speak the truth and without fear.

Columnist Russell Berman is delusional if he thinks that the climate bill has moved towards the center. If his opinion that Joe Lieberman (I) and Lindsey Graham (R) are part of a conservative movement that's moving the cap and trade bill to the middle, he is gravely mistaken. Obama's support for off shore drilling is also a fallacy. This administration and a left of center congress is anti-coal, anti-oil and anti-electric. Their vision is a utopian green world that is unattainable, pie in the sky and very costly. It's time to wake up America. Bipartisan support is not the Democrats picking off a couple of Progressive Republicans to pass a bill that would put the final nail in the coal industry.

While peoples attention are on the devastating oil spill disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, a little known strory has not made national healines but has in Mississippi. http://www.wlox.com/Global/story.asp?S=12399493
The MS public service commission has struck another blow to the coal industry. MS Power's request to build a lignite plant in Kemper county has been granted but the badly needed energy source has been so heavily laden with regulations that it in effect makes the approval worthless. MS Power's plan to build the new technology plant using "soft coal" has been put on hold. It would have provided jobs and would place a minimal cost to the consumers. The ruling was applauded with mcuh glee from the Sierra club, unfortunately we will be hearing of more stories much like Johny Alford's.

Lindsey Graham is no friend of coal. The introduction of a bill that would give congress control to regulate carbon is all about power and nothing to do with clean air. Graham's claim that companies would pay a carbon fee to pay down the national debt or to help low income people is a sham. It would only lower incentives for job growth and the fees would be passed on to the consumers. While the EPA is a dangerous and ubiquitous regulatory agency, Congress should be enacting laws limiting their power not fighting for who has the most control. Lindsey Graham, John Kerry and the rest of a liberal congress would love nothing more than to have even more command over our lives. Let's vote in representatives to congress that are for limited government, fiscal responsibility and are willing to get out of the way and let the American people have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

US Senate Candidatel Dr. Rand Paul recently held a rally outside Ben Chandler's office in Lexington. It was a good pro-Coal rally and several Candidate's for Chandler's seat spoke. The Tea Party movement is solidly behind the coal industry.

If you can't see the difference between mountain top removal compared to other business models, then there really is no hope. What a sad state of affairs for an area that abounds in beauty and could choose other methods of sustaining their economy.
